The features of motivational sphere of students of helper specialities

Language: Ukrainian

The choice of the future profession is personally and socially determinated and includes future specialist`s expectations for the chosen field of activity. Sometimes ill-founded and unreasoned choice of the profession, the distortion of its motivational component lead to difficulties in professional adaptation. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the features of the motivational sphere of students whose professional activity is related to the provision of assistance. The results of the study indicate that the dominant value orientations in a career for students of helper specialties are “service the good”, «autonomy» and «integration of life styles». It turned out that students tend to be independent in their professional activities, to set the tasks by themselves and organize the work according to their needs. They have a desire to benefit others, help in solving life difficulties. They aim to organize their personal and professional life harmoniously, so that one sphere does not interfere with the other, but promote and support the implementation of intentions and satisfying their requirements. The results of the study show that the majority of study participants have adequate or high self-esteem. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was established that there is a connection between the level of self-assessment and certain career orientations. Future helpers with increasing level of self-esteem are able to manifest such personal qualities as “extraversion”, “attachment” and “emotional stability” more clearly. These qualities in general can contribute to a more harmonious self-realization in the chosen profession. Organization of the system of prevention of juvenile delinquency

Language: Ukrainian

The article analyzes the current system of prevention of law offenses among minors and provides recommendations for its improvement. It is determined that the existing system is not effective, since it is not integrating, does not carry out a comprehensive preventive activity, and does not meet the requirements of the society. Law offenses prevention activities are affected, among others, by organizational and legal factors. The author claims that the juvenile delinquency prevention system should be aimed primarily at preventing law offenses and eliminating the causes of crime, which requires cooperation among all actors of the prevention. The author notes the impossibility of an exhaustive list of the preventive activity actors, since prevention should be carried out by all authorities and institutions as an additional activity. Preventive measures should be in line with the current state of crime, the needs of society and national family, children and youth policies. The juvenile delinquency prevention system must be proactive and restorative and be based on children's psychological characteristics, respect their rights and interests, as well as comply with general social values. Christian values-based training as a personal social responsibility development factor

Language: Ukrainian

A social crisis activates the value of personal self-preservation thus pushing out the spiritual values, which are the highest-level values, to the periphery of mass consciousness. The key issue in developing social responsibility of the individual and therefore overcoming the crisis is finding an algorithm and the mechanisms of internal ""rebirth"" of the individual, which is also a way to personal maturity. A number of researchers argue that the only way out of the crisis in Ukraine lies through the spiritual (religious) revival of Ukrainians. From the perspective of the psychology of religion, Christian values are the basis of individuals' spiritual growth and the natural laws that guide a personal life. The results of the theoretical and empirical research conducted by the author showed that a considerable number of university students were experiencing a life crisis, the essential characteristics of which were instrumental in finding the ways to develop personal social responsibility. This was done through the development and application of a training program aimed at harmonizing the traineesʼ socio-psychological, mental and spiritual development. It is noteworthy that the social responsibility development training was based on Christian values and used special methods and work forms. The analysis of the pre- and post-training data found qualitative and quantitative changes in 9 out of 11 generalized indicators, which suggested the training's effectiveness and proved a positive impact of religion on the development of personal social responsibility as a leading social life self-organization factor. Keywords: identity crisis, social responsibility of the person, Christian values, socio-psychological training, spiritual crisis, social dependence, world outlook
